Hey Dave how are you ? Well I got my cylinder bored to my new piston and installed. Cleaned the carb and charged my new battery. Gas in and nothing lol. I mean it would pop here and there but she won’t start. She’s got great compression and good spark. I took the carb back apart but it all looked good. I decided to pull the timing cover off. A bunch of oil came out. Could the seal behind the fly wheel be bad ? The points plate looks a little dirty. The screws holding on the side cover are used. Some body has been in there. There’s a bad oil leak somewhere. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance. Lew.

Hey Enduronut have you had a chance to see if you might have the 2nd over piston I’m looking for ? Or just a good number would be great. Thinking I should buy a parts manual from the 70s if I can find one just to get the proper part numbers. Thank you so much for all your help. I did send you a message yesterday. Did you get it ? 👍🏼

Hey Eduronut. Wow thank you so much. I’m 64 and retired. I bring old bikes back to life because I used to ride them as a kid. When the pistons and rings that showed up I just scratched my head. Thank you for identifying them for me. So I took my cylinder and piston to a boring machine shop. He’s my age and had some really cool vintage stuff to. Anyway he looked at my piston and cylinder and took measurements. He said he can bore it if I get a 2 nd over piston. I trust him. He’s been there for ever and like I said has some really cool stuff. So I’m looking for a second .50 over piston kit. Or if you still do boring I can send you what I have and see what you think? Maybe you have the parts I need ? If I could purchase from you great. Either way the Lord put the right person in my path. Thank you again. I was starting to think it was me. 👍🏼
