AT1 expansion chamber on eBay

It's back on the auction block with opening bid at $5 less than last time. 1 day to go with no bids at $145. It really is a nice pipe. I have one on my CT1B.

I have the same pipe. And I have Strader Engineering pipes. It's not like my Strader. Is / was MCM a Japanese company? The welded wire heat shield is the unique aspect of these pipes.

Longstride you should grab this pipe so I don't. The seller is only 30 minutes from where I work. I've bought from them many times. Good people.

Strader and MCM were the only brands I recall that used the welded on rods as heat sheilds.

Strader also made (2nd generation) heat shield that looked very much like what the Torque Engineering pipes used . . . In fact they probably copied them. I'm guessing thats the type you have.

You are correct. My Strader has a removable heat shield similar to my Torque Engineering pipe. I own both brands. Slight difference in the shape of the removable shields. I never knew they had an early version using the welded rod heat shield. I learned something new today! But that little gold decal that says made in Japan leads me to believe the pipe with welded rod heat shield is another brand altogether. Mine had that sticker as well. Strader and Torque pipes were made in the USA according to what I could find online.
