Man this would be a nice addition to someone's collection of Yamaha memorabilia. Lots of smaller reproductions of this sign. But I'm pretty sure this is an original.

I won't say "absolutely not" that these tin and porcelain signs are copies of some older vintage signs, simply because I can't prove it. . . . . but seems to me they only started appearing just a few short years ago, and I've never seen any evidence of them anywhere, EVER, before. I think these would fall into the realm of modern day nostalgia . . . made for those that are looking to dress up their Man Cave, Shop, or Garage. If someone is trying to pass them off as vintage or nos, that seems like a rather shady seller to me.
