While I'm at it, here's my first real bike (after having two minibikes)
This was purchased new by my friend, who promptly broke his leg in football practice before ever getting to ride it . . . his mom made him sell it . . . and yours truly was all over it.
My dad was cool, he loved adventure riding and would set me on the tank of the big bear we would ride for hours, ignited a passion in me that never went away
I recognize the first picture from "Vanishing Point remake" the clip from it is posted in the 1975 DT250B Section. I had not seen the 1978 DT400E picture before.
This photo always reminds me of those horrific photos from the death zone of Mount Everest. I'm guessing this 175 gave its best effort just like all those unfortunate souls.
I edited my post. I identified it as an RT1, based on the cylinder fins. I made a mistake, and miscounted the cylinder fins. Yamayeeha pointed this out, in one of my videos, where I used this picture. I realized what Yamayeeha noticed was correct.
We only want correct information here. I did lock my RT1 video thread, and added a note with the correction, since I am unable to edit the video. There is alot of false information online, we aim to correct that here.
A few weeks ago, the terms of agreement, was updated, to explain, if false information is found, that can be disproven with yamaha literature, we will bring it to the posters attention (privately). Please do the same, if you see an error. We wont nit pick every thread, but if someone is making absoltue statements, that are not opnion based, it will be brought up (privately).
There are about 50 diffrent pictures of Robert Redford on Yamaha models, even non USA models, I think he really liked them.
Enduro Girl, didn't let her get away, I married that one
My little corner of the world, great place to hang out and drink couple beers, bang on some metal, fix some old bikes
(Not mine)
Elevation Texas, my home deep in the thickets of the Post Oak Savannah
Barely trust that bridge, people still use it

Schu posted a photo eariler, of a 175 that was half buried in snow, which reminded me of this picture >>>
This is Devins first bike .... I think it qualifies as a very cool picture . . . . pun intended! 😄
Teaching my French cousins how to ride 1978 Christmas at Uncle Jack's farm in Jasper
Found another. Probably the same bike. Looks a bit more used.
Collage of 60's and early 70's Yamahas, dad, brother, and myself

The rider of this Yamaha Enduro 1973 CT3 was in the 6th grade. If I were to title this picture, I would call it "Simpler times".
I stumbled across these two photos the other day. She's got good form eh!
