Just wondering if anyone has come across any numbers like the following. The numbers are a really long way outside any of the US numbers. I have RT3 numbers that sit a little past the US numbers, but this AT number is so far away from anything? I'm in AUS by the way. It is closer to a MX model, but still a really long way ahead?
Thanks
Thanks Pete and Dave
Interesting that in Aus we had both US and Oceania numbers. I have another bike that sits in the US listed numbers - as well as a couple of spare engines. The one above came with an AT2/3MX tank, and the crank is not for the electric start - so had me wondering.
Did a little check on the other site and it looks like you have an Oceania market AT1.
MarkT gave the original information, so I would think it's correct.
I can only think of two scenarios ...
That's likely a real Australian / (Oceania) serial number (that differs from our USA numbers)
or
2. The 1st number = AT1 - "4" ... is an altered "1" , which would make it a 1970 AT1 Enduro
So . . . Originally > AT1- 136421 , that someone changed to AT1- 436421
This could be possible (but unlikely), if the number "1" was stamped very lightly at the factory.
If it has the frame mounting provision for a key switch (under the fuel tank), then it has to be a 1970 AT1 Enduro model.
